Critic Reviews for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train

1.Visually, this is ambitious in terms of the fantasy action it depicts, but it sticks to the established anime style of the TV series. It’s not the most obvious candidate for the big screen experience, though one can see the appeal.

Anna Smith

2. This is not only a film about battles between humans and demons, but also a character-building buddy movie about maturation.

G. Allen Johnson

3. Followers will find it essential viewing, while others may want to backtrack and watch the series first, lest this phenomenon pass them by.

Peter Debruge

4. Given the massive concentration of fanfare and newfound mainstream attention toward the series in the wake of its premiere, the question remains: Is this film worthy of the hype? For the most part, it emphatically is.

Toussaint Egan

5. Ufotable’s jaw-dropping visuals alone make Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train well worth a watch, even if the film stumbles a bit at the climax.

How to watch Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train

Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train topped the box office charts upon its release in Japan. Demon Slayer has become a sensation among anime fans in only one season – Mugen Train even outsold Spirited Away during its theatrical release in Japan. Fans have eagerly awaited the film’s release since its premiere in Japan in October 2020; now, the hit anime movie will have its theatrical release in North America.

Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train follows a group of Demon Slayers – Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira – on their mission to help the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku hunt down a ruthless demon that has killed multiple Demon Slayers. While on the Mugen Train, the group encounters Enmu, the Lower Rank One of the Twelve Kizuki of Muzan Kibutsuji. The Slayers must take on Enmu to save the citizens on the train and get one step closer to defeating Kibutsuji.

Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train will be hitting select North American theaters, 4DX, and IMAX screens starting April 23. The film will be released in both the subtitled and dubbed versions. Tickets are available online ahead of the movie’s release. Starting June 22, Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train will be available digitally on multiple platforms, including Apple TV, Microsoft Store, Google Play, PlayStation Store, and Amazon. Pre-orders for the movie will begin on April 26 on select streaming platforms. The film has been rated R for violence by the Motion Picture Association, which means Demon Slayer fans under 17 must be accompanied by an adult guardian to see the film in US theaters.

The film picks up after the events of Demon Slayer season one. The first season follows Tanjiro’s journey to becoming a Demon Slayer after his family is attacked by a demon. After his sister, Nezuko, is turned into a demon during the attack, Tanjiro swears to become a Demon Slayer in search of a cure to restore Nezuko’s humanity. For those who are new to the series and want to catch the first season ahead of the film’s release – or, for loyal fans who want a refresher ahead of time – the dubbed and subbed versions of every episode of season one can be found on Netflix and Hulu. Funimation has released three TV specials ahead of the film’s release, which subscribers can stream from the Funimation website.

Fans won’t have to wait for long for more Demon Slayer after seeing Mugen Train – Demon Slayer season two has been announced to release sometime in 2021. The second season will pick up right after the events of Mugen Train, which covers an entire arc of the Demon Slayer manga. An official trailer for Demon Slayer season two gives fans a first glimpse at the Entertainment District arc, which follows the Mugen Train arc in the manga. Because the film covers such a vital arc of the manga, it’s recommended that fans watch Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train beforehand to get the most out of season two.

Batwoman Season 2 Episode 10 Streaming: Where to watch online free?

How to watch Batwoman Season 2 Episode 10

Airdate: Sunday, April 11
Time: 8 p.m. ET
Episode: “Time Off for Good Behavior”
TV Channel: The CW
Live Stream: Watch on The CW or on the network’s app. You can also watch Batwoman by signing up for a free trial of Fubo TV.

Following Ryan’s recent trip to Coryana, The CW’s Batwoman has shifted course, bringing the characters back to Gotham to face another big enemy: Black Mask. The DC Comics villain will likely play a significant role in the remainder of the show’s second season, and he’s already started stirring up tensions on Team Batwoman.

This week will see Ryan continuing to pursue Black Mask, likely driven by Angelique’s false confession, which saw her ex-girlfriend getting arrested to protect her. However, the synopsis also teases “a new foe,” which could be another one of our weekly villains — or it could mean Enigma is about to take on a bigger role:

“As Batwoman focuses on taking down Black Mask, a new foe emerges, diverting the team’s attention to a distressing issue in Gotham; Jacob travels down a dangerous path.”

Whoever this new enemy is, it looks like they’re going to test Ryan’s resolve to clean up the streets of Gotham beyond simply fighting villain after villain.

The synopsis and promo also tease a rough week for Jacob, who will apparently venture down a “dangerous path.” It looks like his daughters won’t be very sympathetic about it either. The promo shows a glimpse of Mary telling him she’ll “never forgive” him, and it later sees Alice saying, “I’m sorry, Daddy.” (Coming from Alice, that’s never a good sign.)

Whether fans will get more answers about Black Mask and Enigma’s role in kidnapping Kate Kane remains to be seen, but Kate’s friends seem to be inching closer and closer to the truth. Viewers won’t want to miss their progress during this week’s episode, “Time Off for Good Behavior.”

As the world searches for a cure to a disastrous virus, a scientist and park scout venture deep in the forest for a routine equipment run. Through the night, their journey becomes a terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness, the forest coming to life around them.

  • Rating: R (Grisly Images|Strong Violent Content|Language)
  • Genre: mystery and thriller, horror
  • Original Language: English
  • Director: Ben Wheatley
  • Producer: Andrew Starke
  • Writer: Ben Wheatley
  • Release Date (Theaters): Apr 16, 2021 limited

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic takes an even darker turn in Ben Wheatley‘s In the Earth movie. Filmed over the course of 15 days in August 2020, the horror flick takes an intimate look at the consequences of isolation, miscommunication, and paranoia, all three of which have unfortunately come to define our new normal.

Since debuting at the Sundance Film Festival in late January, where it was met with a positive reception from critics, In the Earth has drawn increased interest from fans interested in the burgeoning subgenre of pandemic horror. If you fall into this category — or if you’re simply curious about this timely take on our current nightmare — you’ve come to the right place. Here’s everything you need to know about In the Earth movie, where to watch, and more!

WHAT IS IN THE EARTH MOVIE ABOUT?

Set against the backdrop of a deadly virus that has ravaged the world, In the Earth tells the story of a doctor (Joel Fry) who travels alongside a park scout (Ellora Torchia) into a remote forest in search of life-saving equipment. However, their journey turns into a nightmare when the forest comes to life around them, and before long, the two must fight for their lives as dark forces threaten to tear them apart from the inside-out.

WHAT IS THE IN THE EARTH RELEASE DATE?

Ben Wheatley’s In the Earth debuted at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival on January 29, but distributor Neon has not yet announced a wide release date. However, according to Deadline, In the Earth movie is expected to be released theatrically in the U.S. later this year.

IN THE EARTH MOVIE: WHERE TO WATCH WHEN IT PREMIERES

Thanks to an existing deal between Neon, the film’s distributor, and Hulu, it’s likely that In the Earth will debut on Hulu shortly after its theatrical release. In the past, Neon titles such as Oscar winner Parasite and The Beach Bum have hit Hulu about five months after their U.S. theatrical premiere (and in the case of Parasite, five months to the day).
IN THE EARTH MOVIE 2021 CAST: JOEL FRY, HAYLEY SQUIRES, AND MORE

In the Earth may not boast a large cast, but it is mighty. The horror flick stars Joel Fry as doctor Martin Lowery, Ellora Torchia as park scout Alma, Reece Shearsmith as off-the-grid survivalist Zach, and Hayley Squires as Martin’s lost colleague Olivia Wendle.

The New Mutants Free Streaming: how to watch online?

If you’ve been looking for somewhere to stream The New Mutants for free, you now have an option. The horror-tinged X-Men movie starring Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit), Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) and more releases on HBO Max this Saturday, April 10.

The New Mutants had quite a long timeline to being released, as the HBO Max drop falls nearly three full years after the film’s initially announced release date of April 13, 2018. The film did finally hit theaters — where they weren’t closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic — in August of 2020, and as of this weekend, finally has its streaming home on HBO Max.

So, if you weren’t able to see The New Mutants in theaters or haven’t caught it since, here’s how to watch on HBO Max.

When does The New Mutants premiere on HBO Max? Saturday, April 10.

How to watch The New Mutants on HBO Max

You’ll need to subscribe to HBO Max, though the film will be available at no extra cost to subscribers. Visit HBOMax.com to sign up for $14.99/month. If you already had HBO before HBO Max launched, it’s possible you already have access. Visit HBO Max’s website for full details.

Which devices can I watch HBO Max on?

Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Android, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, PS4, PS5, Roku, Samsung Smart TV, XBox One or XBox XS, as well as iPads, iPhones and Androids.

“The New Mutants” began production in 2017 with an expected release date of April 13, 2018, but clearly that didn’t happen. Well, the film was shot in 2017, but the film experienced its first of many delays in early 2018.

Initially, the film was delayed to Feb. 22, 2019 with planned reshoots. “The New Mutants” was then pushed to Aug. 2019 to avoid schedule conflicts with another 20th Century Fox “X-Men” movie, “Dark Phoenix.”

At the time, the reshoots still hadn’t happened and were reportedly too expensive to make. With Disney’s acquisition of Fox and the reshoots never really occurring, the film’s fate seemed uncertain. Then, it was announced that “The New Mutants” would be released on April 3, 2020, two years after the film’s original release date and was to be the final Fox “X-Men” movie before the mutant race is officially rebooted into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Then, the coronavirus pandemic hit and the world went into the lockdown. The film was delayed again before finally hitting theaters on Aug. 28, 2020, becoming one of the few films to be released in theaters since the pandemic started. Hence, the film only made nearly $46 million globally (at the time of publication), according to Box Office Mojo.

Now “X-Men” fans can finally enjoy the film from the comfort of their own homes and small screens. “The New Mutants” hit digital and blu-ray in 4K ultra HD on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Fans can watch by renting for $5.99 or buy for $19.99 on AppleTV, YouTube, Google Play, Amazon Prime, Vudu, FandangoNOW and more.

How and when to watch

In the days before the coronavirus pandemic, families probably would’ve flocked to movie theaters to see this film. But like the land of Kumandra, our world has changed. Though the movie will be released in some theaters, it’s also streaming on Disney Plus — but even subscribers will have to pay an extra price for the first month of availability.

Disney Plus is now streaming Raya and the Last Dragon. Disney Plus subscribers must pay an additional $29.99 for Premier Access to watch the film. If you pay up, you can watch the movie on disneyplus.com and in the Disney Plus app on select platforms, including Apple, Google, Amazon and Roku. You can then watch the film as many times as you like.

If you don’t want to fork over the extra $30 but do have Disney Plus, you need to wait till June 4, when the movie will run for free on Disney Plus.

There’s also a short, Us Again, that’s scheduled to be released with Raya and the Last Dragon in theaters but apparently won’t come to Disney Plus until June 4. It’s a dialogue-free musical short that tells the story of an elderly man named Art and his young-at-heart wife, Dot, who rekindle their zest for life through dance.

Where is Raya And The Last Dragon Streaming

If you are planning on joining Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) and her epic journey through the heart of Kumandra to find Sisu (Awkwafina), the last of a mystical species of dragon, in the latest Disney adventure, there are a couple of things you will need to know before doing so.

First, you will need a Disney+ subscription in order to watch Raya and the Last Dragon streaming. After logging into your account (or singing up for one), you will then need to sign up for the Premier Access addition to your Disney+ account. You can do that early or whenever you choose to enjoy the movie.

It should be noted that the Premier Access add-on will cost you $29.99 on top of your monthly (or annual) Disney+ subscription. Just like with the September 2020 release of the live-action remake of Mulan, those who use Premier Access to watch Raya and the Last Dragon will be able to watch as much as they want for as long as they have a Disney+ account.

If you don’t wish to shell out $29.99 to get access to Raya and the Last Dragon through your Disney+ account, the film will become available to all subscribers on June 4.

Will Raya And The Last Dragon Be Available To Buy On DVD?

Even though you will be able to watch Raya and the Last Dragon streaming, starting Friday, March 5, the movie won’t be available for physical home release, at least not at this time. An exact release date has yet to be announced for the latest Disney movie, but if we consider the physical release of Mulan, which came out on DVD and Blu-ray in November 2020 (two months after release), we could see the same thing happen with Raya and the Last Dragon.

It should be noted that unlike Mulan, Raya and the Last Dragon is also being released in theaters, meaning that its success at the box office could push back the home release.

How and when to watch

If you have HBO Max, just tune in as you normally would to watch. Like Wonder Woman 1984, there’s no extra charge above and beyond your subscription fee. Right now, HBO Max costs $15 a month.

In fact, you might already have access to HBO Max and not even know it. If you currently subscribe to HBO via your cable or satellite provider, you can probably get HBO Max without paying anything extra. We explain it in detail here, but essentially, you’ll need to watch on a smart TV or streaming device — or a Comcast Xfinity box — using the HBO Max app and your home internet connection.

And in December, Roku struck a deal that gives subscribers access to HBO Max. Roku users who already use the HBO app will automatically update to HBO Max. You can find more information here.

But if you want to watch Godzilla vs. Kong on HBO Max, don’t wait too long. Like Wonder Woman 1984 on the streaming service earlier this year, the blockbuster movie is available for streaming only for a limited time — a month, unless things change.

Godzilla vs. Kong

As you probably know, Godzilla and King Kong both have long movie and pop-culture histories.

King Kong burst on the scene in the 1933 movie King Kong. In that film, the giant gorilla-like creature is found on Skull Island, its home, by an American filmmaker, and dragged back to the US to be exhibited. Kong falls in love with a human woman, Ann, played by Fay Wray, and inevitably breaks loose and grabs her, climbing to the top of the Empire State Building before being shot down by airplanes. But you can’t keep a great ape down — Kong returned in numerous sequels and remakes over the years, first taking on Godzilla in 1962.

Godzilla first appeared in the 1954 Japanese movie Godzilla, as an enormous sea monster powered by radiation — thought of as a metaphor for nuclear weapons after the 1945 bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The dinosaur-like monster has radiation-given powers, including atomic breath, and retreats back into the ocean after its battles. It often tramples Tokyo and kills people, but it’s been known to fight alongside humanity. Kong aside, its usual opponents are fellow kaiju — a Japanese word for giant monsters — such as Rodan, Mothra and others. Godzilla is such a pop-culture icon that it even starred in a 1978 American cartoon, Godzilla, where it had a comedic sidekick nephew, little Godzooky.
The 2021 film

Godzilla vs. Kong is the fourth film in what’s called the “MonsterVerse,” a series of films about the two giant monsters from Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. It all started with 2014’s Godzilla, which was followed by 2017’s Kong: Skull Island, and then 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Godzilla vs. Kong finally brings the two biggies together to fight it out.

“In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages,” an official synopsis says.

The human cast includes Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things fame, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Kyle Chandler and Demián Bichir. Noted horror-film director Adam Wingard is behind the camera.
