President Trump threatens to shut down all social media platforms as Twitter shows him a red flag

The social media giant, Twitter, has recently introduced a new function flagging suspicious content to cross-check facts. However, this is a pretty normal incident for all its regular users. Twitter believes in equality for all and does not treat anyone with a special view. President Donald Trump is the latest in the list to get a red flag from the company. However, he does not seem interested to follow the community guideline rule for once.

After years of criticism that the social media app lets the President spread wrong information, Twitter finally took a step. But it was only to find out the anger issues of the latter. Trump’s tweet which made false claims about mail-in voting was the one that shows the red flag. But President Trump alleges that this is a part of a bigger conspiracy from the company. Donald Trump threatens to shut down Twitter

Twitter, on Tuesday for the first time prompted readers to check the facts in tweets sent by Trump. They warned that his claims about mail-in ballots were false and had been debunked by fact-checkers.

The move marked a dramatic shift for the social network, Trump’s primary tool for getting an unfiltered version of his message out to his political base, after years of permissive policies around content on its platform.

The company has been tightening these policies in recent years amid criticism that its hands-off approach allows abuse, fake accounts, and misinformation to thrive.

Trump, who has more than 80 million followers on Twitter, claimed in tweets earlier in the day that mail-in ballots would be “substantially fraudulent” and result in a “rigged election.” He also singled out the governor of California over the issue, although the state is not the only one to use mail-in ballots.

The US President claims that fake news CNN is the main reason behind this conspiracy. Let us know what you think about this in the comments section below!
